Our mission is to support the nutritional wellbeing of parents and children from preconception through infant feeding. Whether you are trying to conceive or trying to introduce solid foods, Feeding Home will collaborate with you to nourish your growing family.

Lauren Capacete is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist working in Philadelphia, PA. She completed her Dietetic Internship at Massachusetts General Hospital and received her Masters of Science from New York University in Clinical Nutrition and Dietetics, however, she is often more willing to discuss her Bachelor’s degree in Storytelling.

Lauren practiced clinically at Nemours/A.I duPont Hospital for Children, now Nemours Children’s Health (NCH), where she focused on medically complex and diagnostic pediatrics, rehabilitation and gastrointestinal nutrition. In her time at NCH, Lauren collaborated closely with pediatricians to support healthy intake, growth and development of the children in our community. It was there that Lauren identified one of her core values on which this practice was founded – a healthy parent supports a healthy baby.

Since 2021, Lauren has maintained a faculty position with Thomas Jefferson University’s MS in Nutrition and Dietetics Practice (MS/RDN) Program as the Medical Nutrition Therapy Curriculum Coordinator where she teaches the Medical Nutrition Therapy series and oversees Clinical Rotations. Teaching is her passion, whether it is a 300 person lecture hall or with a parent at a kitchen table, Lauren is eager to share her knowledge in an approachable and attainable manner.

Lauren lives in Fairmount with her husband, Matt, daughter, Alba, and dog, Beau where she can be found saying “go birds” to strangers.

Go birds.
